Privacy
Roadster Thrust is a free browser game. It has no accounts and asks for no email address. This page says what it stores and why.
On your phone
The game keeps a random player id, your best score, your settings (sound, music, language, paint) and a few "already seen" flags in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
The leaderboard
When you start a run, the game sends your random player id to our server (a Cloudflare Worker with a Cloudflare D1 database). While you play it reports the run's numbers (distance, charge cells, hops, tasks, play time) so the server can check the score. The server stores, per player: the random id, a short public hash of it, the name you choose to sign (if any), your best scores, your runs, and the two-letter country Cloudflare reports for your connection. Your IP address is not stored. The leaderboard shows your name (or PILOT-<number>), your country flag and your score.
Analytics
We use PostHog (US cloud) to understand how the game is played: events such as starting and finishing a run, scores, settings changes and errors, plus session recordings of the game screen. They are linked to the same random player id. Local test runs are marked as such and left out.
Not affiliated
This is a fan-made game. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. or Space Exploration Technologies Corp. The car, the scenery and everything else in it are drawn in code.
